MY LIFE EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER
I will proudly share my academic life experience at Reading Academy comprehensive school. I had an excitement, enthusiasm, comfortably with writing my experience as a teacher. I started teaching on 5th April, 2004, I started with primary 2 which comprise eight student. My first time in class was kind of uninterested, I stood in front of the students without any mood of familiarity. Consequently, I was all the necessary teaching method in relation to the academic behavior of students.
Teachers act as second set of parents to students who spend a better part of their childhood around them. Additionally, teachers also form the corner Stone of achievements of their schools and act as catalyst for growth.
No matter what the difficulties, our teachers and staff have lived this every step of the way. They have helped our schools provide a stable secure and motivating environment for the children to learn and grow, enabling them to become upstanding citizens of the country.
Being a good teacher is extremely important, and a good teacher is someone who a student will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. But what really make a good teacher? There are a lot of things to consider when answering this question. Below we will discuss the top qualities of a good teacher that we believe are most important when it comes to quality teaching and really creating that strong student teacher relationship.
As an experienced teacher who was assumed to be part of an academic line share the very important aspect required during teaching students who are of different age. Among which includes:
1- communication skills: effective communication is a cretical asset to acquires in both professional and in inmate environment. It is the root of successful and memorable relationship. In the case of teaching, to have strong communication skills as a teacher is an important quality for building teacher-student report and for really creating a trusting environment for the students. Strong communication skills are essential for the objective of teaching itself. As a teacher, having the ability to construct express verbal, writing, visual and body language comes together with the capacity to convert ideas into student understandable structure will deliver knowledge will Superior results. Communication skills are on the top of the list of what makes a good teacher. A teacher must be able to communicate the classroom's curriculum an effective and organized manner, that the student will be able to understand, it is important to a teacher to communicate student to the best of his or her abilities.
2- listening skills: being a good teacher means having your students listen to you, but also making sure that you listen and goes your students that attention that they need by answering all of their questions. The ability to understand your student is one of the keys to being a good teacher through strong listening skills, teachers are able to create a stronger, heavier and higher quality learning environment.
3- Friendly attitude: having a friendly attitude is one of the most important qualities of a good teacher. Expressing a friendly attitude towards your student makes you more approachable, and is more likely to motivates students to want to learn. This will in turn enhance student teacher communication and create a more positive learning environment. Most important, having a friendly attitude can really contribute to making a memorable teacher, and there is nothing more charming than being able to be that a teacher.
4- patient: patience is a virtue, and especially in the world of teaching. Being a teacher and handling multiple children at one time is not an easy task, and requires a great deal of patience. Another factor to note on patience, is that a patient is likely to be more adoptable to different teaching environments. Different individual student and different age group will express different difficulties when it comes to interacting, communicating and teaching. By being patient, a teacher will be more to understand each of these individual student and overall age group. Of course, good teaching comes with experience, however, having patience will allow the teacher to learn and better understand what specific tactics work and don't work when it comes to engaging student within the learning process.
Learners whose emotional response do not guide their behavior appropriately. Learners whose emotional response are too intense, Learners whose emotional response are too weak, Learners who experience incorrect emotions and have a mistaken view of reality.
Learners who experience contrasting/conflicting emotions and for whom it becomes a problem to sort out and their emotions to act one way or the other. These conflicting emotion can have an immobilizing effect on Learners when they have to make a decision.
Learners who experience emotional response that are either too intense, or too weak, or the incorrect ones or in conflict usually act appropriately for their emotional response, but inappropriately for the situation. They experience a mismatch between emotion and situation.
